2024 Live Training Courses

Buffalo Handling and Chemical Immobilization

Dates: March 26-28, 2024

Location: Aaniiih Nakoda College, Harlem MT


This 3-day course with live animals will focus on low stress handling of penned buffalo and chemical immobilization of free-ranging buffalo. The course will be limited to managers from tribal, government, and private programs with buffalo herds. On Day 3, participants will chemically immobilize buffalo from a herd of 2,000 animals on 27,000 acres in northern Montana.
